The Comfort Crisis and Why We Overeat

A SURPRISE CHAPTER BLEW MY MIND

Michael Easter’s The Comfort Crisis is a must-read for those of us who know we’re capable of more.

Michael Easter's The Comfort Crisis just blew my mind.

I bought the book because I am fascinated by behavior and how we always opt for easy. The chapter, 4,000 Calories, blindsided me— it is about our relationship with food and hunger and why, in general, we can't lose or even maintain weight.

If you struggle with your relationship with food or fad diets or are recovering from an eating disorder like myself, this chapter alone is worth the price of the book.

👉If you don't want to buy the book and need help, go to the library.

👉If you don't want to read the whole book, just read that one chapter.

I’ll be re-listening to it and taking some very detailed notes because it is that important.

The idea that we don't understand when we're truly hungry is eye-opening.

Go check it out.

The holidays are coming, and it’s an excellent opportunity to get a mental head start!

P.S. The entire Comfort Crisis book is worth a read because it might be the final push to start doing hard things (like put yourself first?
